Foxcom's SDTVplus (patent pending) is a HFC distribution system that delivers broadband bundled services to large multi-dwelling units and garden style apartments over a single fiberoptic cable. SDTVplus delivers services such as Cable TV, Local Off-Air TV, DBS and cable-modem based internet services.
Based on a hybrid fiber optic/coax distribution system, SDTVplus delivers up to 2900 MHz of bandwidth.
The SDTVplus System combines video and data signals, converts them to optics, and transmits the combined signal along a fiber optic cable. At various nodes throughout the property the optical signal is reconverted to RF and then sent to the subscriber via coax. In each home, several TVs and PCs can be connected to the system using one wall plate. Return path services are provided over coax cable.
The SDTVplus HFC Distribution System is an ideal solution for service providers who want to exploit existing infrastructure, while expanding their video services.
